Visit the underground Wieliczka Salt Mine! See the world-class monument with your own eyes and experience an unforgettable adventure underground.
An unforgettable trip to Wieliczka from Krakow! Discover the heritage of material culture and the richness of inanimate nature while strolling through this unique monument on a global scale. In 1978 the salt mine was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Wieliczka was then the leading producer of salt in Poland.  Salt brewed on an industrial scale was produced in Wieliczka until 1996.  Now the mine is still an active mining plant, with a unique culture, art and traditions dating back many centuries. During our organized tour, the tour in the mine takes about 2.5 hours, and the drive from Krakow to Wieliczka takes up to 40 minutes. The entire tour usually takes about 4 hours.
